A Month to go

It's been some time since I posted anything...sorry Aiz, Ross. Have been extremely busy - work + wedding stuff. Just to keep everyone updated on what's been happening. But first, to remind everyone - my nikah will be on the 28th of April - 10.30am+lunch; reception 29th April 8.30pm onwards - both events will be held at my parents' house in Taman Tun. Aiz, Din and Husni - I do hope you guys are not working on those dates and will be able to attend both nikah and reception. Ross, Kunta, Faiz etc no excuses whatsoever ok.

Anyway, getting back to the wedding preps - haiyo, not easy getting married la. A lot of blood, sweat and tears - cehlamak so drama. No, actualy it takes a lot of time, MONEY and tears here and there. Also a lot of paperwork - I do wonder why JAWI or JAIS makes it so difficult to kahwin. The kursus kahwin was also 2 horrifying days.. Arif and I were the oldest ones there...the other people were really kids! But I did get something good out of the course - one is to never buruk sangka your spouse and then, the 3Ps to make a marriage work - PUJI, PELUK and PUJUK. Actually kena tambah 2Ps that are also very very important - tapi censored leh..you guys figure it out..heh heh.

The next bit is my baju kahwin - I'm wearing a white baju kurung with white & silver songket for nikah, an off-white/cream baju Johor with the tabur sewn on to the top for the 28th night reception for relatives, neighbours and a dusky rose kebaya for 29th night. Somehow I think my dusky rose kebaya will be OVER THE TOP...but the tailor said "kalau simple sangat, orang tak tahu you pengantin.." Oh well. For Arif's side pulak, the theme is lilac...and there's gonna be two baju - one for greeting guests and the other on the pelamin. Both kebaya style. Haiyo...I'm bloody nervous all of a sudden.

My hantaran pulak - my mum's good friend (who did for my first wedding) is gonna do it, she insisted on doing it...so I just hope it turns out ok, good enough for my friends who can be quite critical..heh heh heh.

Have just got my invitation cards printed, so I do hope to see all of you and pass the invites before the wedding - it's been too long since I last saw you, Aiz - since New Year tau!
